Flu arrives in Perth County

The Perth District Health Unit has confirmed its first cases of influenza this season. As of Dec. 23, there were seven confirmed cases of influenza A (H3N2) in Perth County.

?Lab-confirmed cases are usually only a fraction of actual cases of flu in the county,? said public health nurse Erica Jensen. ?Many people do not see a doctor or get tested when they are ill.?

The health unit reminds residents that it?s not too late to get the flu shot...
