TORONTO -- Health officials in Ontario are reporting 422 new cases of COVID-19, pushing the province's lab-confirmed case total past 600,000.

Monday’s report brings the seven-day average for the number of cases reported in the province to 362. A week ago, that number was 372.

Ontario has seen 600,377 infections of the novel coronavirus since the onset of the pandemic, including 587,344 recoveries and 9,874 deaths – three of which were reported today but actually occurred in September...

... Health Minister Christine Elliott said that of the cases reported today, 261 involve individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status while the remaining 161 cases are in fully vaccinated individuals.

Right now, there are 134 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 133 people who are currently being treated in an ICU. The vaccination status of those hospitalized has not been made available...

Ontario is reporting 331 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, a slight uptick from a week ago. The provincial case total now stands at 600,708.

For comparison, last Tuesday saw 269 new cases and the previous Tuesday saw 328.

Of the 331 new cases recorded, the data showed 156 were unvaccinated people, 14 were partially vaccinated people, 136 were fully vaccinated people and for 2325 people the vaccination status was unknown....

Ontario is reporting 378 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, a slight uptick from a week ago. The provincial case total now stands at 601,086.

For comparison, last Wednesday saw 321 new cases and the previous Wednesday saw 304. All three Wednesday’s saw comparable testing volumes in the 30,000 range.

Of the 378 new cases recorded, the data showed 186 were unvaccinated people, 12 were partially vaccinated people, 142 were fully vaccinated people and for 41 people the vaccination status was unknown...

TORONTO -- Ontario health officials are reporting 563 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, and five more deaths due to the disease.

The last time the province reported more than 500 new infections was on Oct. 10 when officials logged 535 new cases...

... Of the new infections reported Friday, 314 cases involved people who are either unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or their vaccination status is unknown. The remaining 249 infections involved people who are fully vaccinated.

The province recorded five more deaths on Friday, bringing the total death tally in the province to 9,896.

The province stated at least 225 people are in hospital due to COVID-19, including 57 people who are fully vaccinated and 168 people who are either not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

At least 129 patients are in intensive care in Ontario hospitals and 81 are breathing with the assistance of a ventilator...

Ontario reports over 500 new cases of COVID-19 for second day in a row

Ontario is reporting 508 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total case count in the province to 602,595.

This is the second day in a row where cases were reported above 500. However, it is down from the 563 cases reported Friday.

The seven-day average has climbed to 426 compared to last Saturday where the average was recorded at 353.

Three more deaths were recorded Saturday, which occurred within the last month.

However, the Ministry of Health removed three deaths from the cumulative toll due to data cleaning, therefore the death toll remains at 9,896.

The Ministry of Health also reported out of 508 people who tested positive for the virus, 203 people were hospitalized with 130 people in intensive-care units...

Ontario is reporting 636 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the provincial case total to 603,231.

Of the 636 new cases recorded, the data showed 325 were unvaccinated people, 15 were partially vaccinated people, 248 were fully vaccinated people and for 48 people the vaccination status was unknown...

...Active cases in Ontario now stand at 3,800...

...Test positivity hit two per cent.

Ontario reported 93 people in general hospital wards with COVID-19 (down by 110) with 126 patients in intensive care units (down by four) and 106 patients in intensive care units on a ventilator (down by five).

For those in general hospital wards with COVID, 83 were unvaccinated, 12 were partially vaccinated and 57 were fully vaccinated. For those in ICUs, 59 were unvaccinated while 2 were partially vaccinated and 12 were fully vaccinated. Provincial officials noted this new dataset with vaccination status for hospitalizations will grow and improve over time as more information is collected. There may also be a discrepancy due to how and when the information for both is collected...

Ontario is reporting 441 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, a lower count than the previous day but much higher than the last two Tuesday’s. The provincial case total now stands at 604,152.

For comparison, last Tuesday saw 331 new cases and the previous Tuesday saw 269. All three Tuesday’s saw comparable testing volumes in the 20,000 range.

Ontario is reporting 642 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the largest one-day increase in new infections in over a month. The provincial case total now stands at 605,248.

It is the highest daily count since Oct. 9 when 654 new cases were reported. For comparison, last Thursday saw 438 new cases and the previous Thursday saw 409. All three Thursday’s saw similar testing volumes in the 30,000 range.

Of the 642 new cases recorded, the data showed 334 were unvaccinated people, 18 were partially vaccinated people, 245 were fully vaccinated people and for 45 people the vaccination status was unknown...

TORONTO -- Ontario health officials are reporting 661 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

Officials recorded six new deaths. The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the province is now 9,927.

Today’s case count comes after officials logged 598 new cases on Friday, 642 new cases on Thursday and 454 new cases on Wednesday.

Ontario’s rolling seven-day average now stands at 559, up from 426 at this point last week.

With 26,456 tests processed in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health says the positivity rate in the province stands at about 2.4 per cent.

Of the new infections reported Saturday, 388 cases involved people who are either unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or their vaccination status is unknown. The remaining 273 infections involved people who are fully vaccinated...

...The province stated at least 263 people are in hospital due to COVID-19. Of those admitted in the last 24 hours, 69 people were fully vaccinated and 94 people were either not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

Of those hospitalized, the province says 131 patients are in intensive care due to COVID-19. Eighty patients were admitting in the last 24 hours — 67 of those patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, while 13 are fully vaccinated...

Ontario reported its highest COVID-19 case count in nearly 40 days on Sunday, as the number of so-called “breakthrough” cases in fully vaccinated individuals rivaled cases among the unvaccinated for the first time since the summer.

The seven-day rolling average of new cases now stands at 563, up from 468 one week ago...

... They said there were 300 cases each found in unvaccinated and fully vaccinated people, along with 24 new cases in people with one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 42 cases in people with unknown vaccination status.

Ontario’s COVID-19 Science Advisory Table still finds full vaccination equates to an 82.5 per cent relative reduction in risk of infection and a 92 per cent relative reduction in risk of hospitalization...

... There have now been 9,934 deaths confirmed since March 2020. Of those, 36 were confirmed in the past seven days, though up to three of them may have occurred more than one month ago.

The known active caseload across Ontario rose to 4,778, marking a fifth straight day of gains.

The Ministry of Health said there were 133 people in intensive care due to COVID-19 across Ontario, including an known number of patient transfers from Saskatchewan.

Ontario reported nearly 800 new COVID-19 cases and four more deaths on Friday as Health Canada approved a vaccine for children aged five and up.

Provincial health officials logged 793 new infections today, up from 711 on Thursday and a notable rise from 598 a week ago.

Today marks the highest case tally since Sept. 18 when 821 new infections were reported...

... The seven-day rolling average of new infections now stands at 625, up from 537 this time a week ago.

Among the latest cases, 385 of the individuals are unvaccinated, 22 are partially vaccinated, 323 are fully vaccinated and 63 have an unknown vaccination status.

...The four deaths reported today occured in the last month and the province’s virus-related death toll now stands at 9,959, according to the Ministry of Health...

... The ministry says there are 269 people in hospitals with the virus across the province and 128 in intensive care units.

Of those in ICU, 72 are breathing with the help of a ventilator.
