One more becomes H1N1 victim

KARACHI (January 14, 2011) : Another person has become victim of Swine flu (H1N1) influenza in the province as the total number of swine flu patients has reached 21 in the current month. Dr Suresh Kumar, Incharge Swine flu Surveillance cell, while talking to Business Recorder on Thursday confirmed about the positive result of a woman, named Nazia, 28, from Nasir Colony, Korangi.

Kumar said the recent swine flu patient is in stable condition and she was diagnosed at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. All the 21 patients are alive and in stable condition, he added. He said that more then 100 blood samples have been taken to confirm the virus. Kumar said that the tests are free of cost in influenza lab at Civil Hospital Karachi as well as medicines in all the public sector hospitals.
