Some travellers through Toronto?s Pearson International Airport last month may have been exposed to measles.

Public health authorities are concerned in light of a confirmed case of the illness.

They say people in Terminal 1 on Jan. 27 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. may be at risk.

Those who were near people arriving aboard a Lufthansa flight ? LH-470 ? from Frankfurt at 4:08 p.m. may also have been exposed.

Also at risk are those connected to Air Canada flight AC-834 or LH-6829 that left Toronto at 6 p.m. for Montreal...

...Anyone who was at Pearson Airport on Feb 22. between the hours of 6:20 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. may have been exposed to the virus.

The man traveled on Air Canada flight number 16 from Hong Kong which arrived at Terminal 1 at 6:20. He also flew on Cathay Pacific flight number 5249 at 11:20 a.m. which arrived in Hong Kong from Cambodia at 3 p.m...

Case Measles Confirmed At Niagara

According to the reports of the Niagara Region Public Health, an adult in Niagara nearby Pearson Airport was confirmed with the fact of adult measles on 22nd February.
A person caught up Measles infection while travelling in Cambodia and China before returning to Toronto stated by Niagara Region Public Health.

Everyone present there was questioned by the agency in the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital emergency room or first-floor X-Ray unit in Grimsby on Feb. 27 between the hours of 3 p.m. and midnight to seek for signs and symptoms. The agencies are ensuring that their vaccinations are up to date and they are trying to reach as many as possible.

The flights through Toronto Pearson International Airport and airports in Cambodia and China can also be under the exposure of this infection...

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit is warning of a possible case of measles that may have exposed others in the community to the illness.

Lab confirmation is not yet complete, but the health unit has released a partial list of possible exposure locations and wants people to be aware of the signs and symptoms of measles, which is highly contagious.

Possible exposure locations include:

Taco Bell, 328 St. Clair St., Chatham - Tuesday, March 19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Walmart, 881 St. Clair St., Chatham - Tuesday, March 19 from 6-9:30 p.m.
Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Sydenham Campus, 325 Margaret Avee, Wallaceburg - Sunday, March 24 from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Individuals known to have been exposed at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance are being contacted by the health unit...

The test results have come back negative on a probable case of measles in Chatham-Kent.

Chatham-Kent public health officials announced the update Thursday morning, reporting there is no risk to the community at this time.

A public warning was issued Monday about about a probable case of measles in the area, including the fact the person had visited a number of public places where people could possibly have been exposed...

Health officials are asking anyone who was at Vaughan Mills, a mall north of Toronto, on March 20 to ensure their immunization records are up to date after an adult who contracted the measles while travelling passed through the shopping centre.

Toronto Public Health said in a news release that the adult with the highly-contagious disease was in the mall from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. that day. The agency said it is following up with all known people who may have been exposed to the disease.

This is the second confirmed case of measles in Toronto this year...

Ottawa Public Health is urging people to take precautions following a confirmed case of measles in the city, and is working with area health-care providers and hospitals to contact individuals and families who may have been exposed to the infectious case.

According to health officials, people who were at the following locations and times may have been exposed to the virus:

March 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: 40 Hines Rd., in the lobby, elevator or ground floor.
March 27, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: 40 Hines Rd., in lobby, elevator or ground floor.
March 28, 5:30 to 9 p.m.: Real Canadian Superstore, 760 Eagleson Rd.
March 28, 5:30 to 9 p.m.: Ottawa West Travel Clinic, 760 Eagleson Rd., 2nd floor.

Niagara Region public officials are investigating a case of measles in an adult who contracted the infection while travelling overseas.

"Any person who visited the following public locations are being asked to watch for signs and symptoms and to ensure their vaccination is up-to-date as they may have been exposed to measles," the public health unit said in a news release.

? On April 28, during a direct flight on Philippine Airlines (PR118) departing Manila at 4:55 p.m. and arriving at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Terminal 3, between 8 and 11 p.m.

? On May 1, at Eastern Chinese Restaurant, 1 Stone Mason Dr., in Markham between 5 and 7:30 p.m.

? On May 2, at Petro-Canada Convenience Store, 9249 Ninth Line, Markham, between 9 and 11 p.m.

Ottawa Public Health widens list of measles exposure locations

One day after a new case of measles surfaced in Ottawa, public health officials sought to reassure people about their risk of infection.

Daniel Myran, a doctor with Ottawa Public Health (OPH), said Ottawa has ?a very high coverage rate? of vaccinated residents, meaning the measles virus is unlikely to spread widely.

In April two other cases of measles were reported in the city. Myran said no secondary cases of infection were found.

Public health has issued a list of times and locations where people may have been exposed to measles in the most recent case...

You may have been exposed to the measles if you visited a specific Woodbridge doctors? office and laboratory early this month, York Region public health said.

If you were exposed, you only have until the end of day June 10 for treatment to be effective, the health unit said.

Measles is a highly contagious disease that can spread easily to those who are susceptible or unprotected, public health said.

Someone with laboratory-confirmed case of the disease was at Woodbridge Family Physicians at 4600 Hwy. 7 suite 180 on June 4 between noon and 3:45 p.m.

The person also visited LifeLabs in suite 120 at the same building between 2:15 and 4:30 p.m.

Anyone at the location, including the main lobby areas and common areas on the first floor between suites 180 and 120, may have been exposed to measles, public health said...
