In light of the eight cases of bacterial meningitis Ohio University has experienced over the past two years, it's trying to take a more proactive approach to protect students for what the Centers for Disease Control is calling an outbreak.
It is launching a new Website that will contain information about the symptoms, risks, and prevention of bacterial meningitis.
A press release indicates that the university feels spreading awareness about the disease will lower students health risks, and it also wants to provide a place for students, administrators, faculty, and parents to go to have their questions answered.
