First measles case in nearly two decades identified in Montgomery County

A case of measles has been identified in a Montgomery County resident who was evaluated at Dayton Children’s Hospital’s main campus emergency department in the last week.

The last confirmed measles case in Montgomery County occurred in 2005.

Officials are urging anyone who visited the emergency department at One Children’s Plaza between Jan. 29 at 11 p.m. and Jan. 30 at 7 a.m., and on Jan. 31 between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., to remain vigilant for potential symptoms and take action accordingly.​..

CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio —

Health officials are investigating a potential case of measles in Clermont County.

“We want to be extra cautious and make sure our residents know the signs and symptoms and how to protect themselves from measles,” said Clermont County Public Health Commissioner Julianne Nesbit. “The best thing you can do is to stay up to date on your vaccines and stay home when you’re sick.”

Cincinnati Health Department warns of potential measles exposure at Heritage Bank Center

CINCINNATI —

The Cincinnati Health Department has been notified of a measles exposure at the Heritage Bank Center last Friday.

According to health officials, anyone who attended the Disney On Ice performance or was in the building up to two hours after the show ended may have been exposed to measles.

The CHD said any person who may have been exposed and developed symptoms, including high fever, cough, runny nose, watery eyes, and a rash beginning three to five days after other symptoms occur, should isolate until testing arrangements can be made.​...

Heritage Bank Center
100 Broadway, Cincinnati
7 p.m. performance of Disney on Ice
Anyone who attended the show or was in the building up to two hours after the show ended, may have been exposed to measles.

Wednesday, March 13
Sugarcreek Health Center
6438 Wilmington Pike
There are multiple offices in this building. Anyone who was in the building from 12:55 p.m. to 4 p.m. may have been exposed to measles.

Residents who were at either of these locations at these dates and times should notify the local health department. Montgomery County residents can call 937-225-5591; Greene County residents can call 937-805-1922.​..

Possible measles exposure at Beavercreek amusement facility after 3rd case reported in Montgomery County

Greene County Public Health is warning people who went to a Beavercreek bowling alley and amusement facility last week they may have been exposed to measles after a third Montgomery County resident tested positive.

The resident was at Round 1 Bowling and Amusement, 2727 Fairfield Commons Blvd. from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. Anyone who was at the facility until 7p.m. —up to two hours after they left — may have been exposed to measles.

CINCINNATI — An "out-of-town visitor" has tested positive for measles in Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Health Department (CHD) said Monday afternoon.

CHD said the individual flew from Chicago to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) on Wednesday, April 10.

According to CHD, they also went to Morton's Steakhouse on Vine Street for takeout and took a Lyft to the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati on West Fifth Street at approximately 9 p.m.

Staff, guests or visitors at the Hyatt Regency after 9 p.m. or anyone at the steakhouse between around 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on April 10, may have been exposed.​..
