CLEVELAND, Ohio — An Ohio man has a probable case of monkeypox, Ohio Department of Health director Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff said Monday during a press briefing.

Testing at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to confirm monkeypox is currently pending, Vanderhoff said. To protect the patient’s privacy, no further details — including if the man is hospitalized, where he lives or if he recently traveled to a country where monkeypox is flaring — will be disclosed, he said...

A case of monkeypox has been found in a person living in the Columbus area.

Columbus Public Health is investigating a case of the disease in a 48-year-old man who is now in isolation, according to a news release. The infection marks the second case of monkeypox found in Ohio during the current outbreak.

Officials confirm monkeypox case in Cleveland, third overall found in Ohio

CLEVELAND — Ohio health officials identified the monkeypox virus in a Cleveland resident Thursday, the third overall case found in Ohio this month.
