Seem to be stitching a picture together. I understand that it isn't necessarily fair to infer that "things" are progressing by pasting a few comments together. However, are we starting to see a trend?

I was wondering the same thing. You need to add a couple of other items as well to your list. And they are the WHO notifying Roche to stockpile Tamiflu and the US sending in back up supplies of Tamiflu to Indonesia.

You don't have to look very hard to see what is happening. We have been expecting this all along.
Virus is picking up speed... easier to infect humans, infecting larger clusters, clusters of clusters, reports of virus changing, avian influenza spreading into new countries, reinfecting old countries, WHO phasing out the 4 & 5 phase... there seem to be endless warnings from every sector now.

Add to it all the situation on the ground in Indonesia with the earthquake and we are sitting on one big powder keg. Notice how the talk of it being "less severe" has disappeared?

I have been on this roller coaster for over a year. It does feel as if we are now click, click, clicking our way to the top of the ride. Can't be long before the track hits the top before the big drop.

Okay, I just outted myself for those who don't know me. Gold and other preps will help protect you here on earth, but when the real "endtimes" come, they won't amount to much.

Thank you Shannon, I was involved in one, that turned very ugly, and don't wish to see it happen to another. We will need all the sites for information when this happens, people will be screaming for information. We need to be ready.

Okay. Missed that in the instruction book;). With utmost respect to Shannon and everyone here, I have no desire to offend or steer away from the topic. It is sad that all views can't be respected or at least tolerated on public forums. For me, prepping, my faith and the news are interconnected. I'l try to refrain from the "faith" part in the future.

Because of this tolerance and respect, we ask that members refrain from stressing religion in their posts so that all members, of all religions, will feel welcome here.

We feel that religion will play an important role in the response to any pandemic and we encourage all to involve their chosen religious affiliations in the discussion about H5N1.

Two years ago, we have met most of religious leaders, First Nations, Catholics, Orthodoxs, Protestants, Rabbis, Imans, Granthis, Bouddhist of Tibet, of Vietnam, Hindouists, animalists, and we have only one answered on the question if they were ready to take orphans from their religious communities and give a hand in a pandemic, their answered were a natural Yes.

Thank you Snowy - this is comforting. I'd go one step futher and ask, "would you be ready to take orphans from other religious communities should the need arrise?" I would hope that the answer would be the same - yes.
