Resistance to report deaths from IRAS
* Only 10% of the 331 emergency consultations on a typical day, they are respiratory

To the epidemiological week 32, the Oaxaca Health Services (OHS) have a record of 579 thousand 467 cases of acute respiratory infections (IRAS), however, no authority in this organization dares to say how many of these cases are deaths .
Although deaths from IRAS not exactly have to do with the new influenza virus, health authorities, both SSO as IMSS and ISSSTE, have been unwilling to provide such data.
For one thing, the Delegations of the IMSS and ISSSTE say the number of IRAS and specifically influenza A H1 N1, can only be granted by the SSO, through an agreement between them and the federal authorities.
In this regard, and in the specific case of IMSS, the delegation noted that the General Hospital of Zone 1, to cite one example, only 10% of the 331 emergency visits in a typical day is for airway.
Just as the IMSS and ISSSTE, or the Register offices or public prosecutors have data on influenza deaths, either of the seasonal or the A H1 N1. "We received reports on pathological issues," said a man in charge of the 5th Administrative Office of Vital Records.

Ten deaths from influenza A H1 N1: SSO

In past interviews, Martin Vasquez Villanueva, owner of the SSO, said that to date, Oaxaca has only recorded ten deaths due to influenza A H1 N1.
The official recalled that in comparison with other national, Oaxaca is in 11th place in terms of confirmed cases of human influenza (669)
In the case of IRAS, the SSO stated that in the state are recorded annually over 800 thousand cases, of which, 5 thousand are complicated by pneumonia and 400 generate the death of those did not come on time to the health authorities.
