NYC has updated their surveillance information. This is the first posting since July 8th. However, the data are only posted as of August 31st, so we still don't have any official data from July 8 - August 30.

Influenza Surveillance Data
The Health Department is monitoring both seasonal and novel H1N1 influenza activity during the 2009-2010 influenza season. Weekly updates (posted every Friday) will track trends in influenza-like illness (ILI) and show which influenza viruses are currently circulating in the city.

Current findings include:

Overall influenza activity remains at a low level in NYC at this time.
Influenza-related hospitalizations remain at a low level in NYC at this time.
There have been no laboratory-confirmed influenza-related deaths reported to the Health Department since September 1st.

Laboratory surveillance data indicates that novel H1N1 remains the predominant influenza subtype currently circulating in NYC.
