There was one reported influenza outbreak from a long-term care facility (LTCF) in the Bronx during Week
17. This was reported by the infection control staff of the acute care facility where two residents from this
LTCF were admitted. Their presenting symptoms were not typical of influenza-like illness (ILI).

Two long-term care facilities reported outbreaks of influenza-like illness; no testing was done. A facility that
experienced an influenza outbreak with an attack rate of almost 40% on one floor reported a new cluster on
a second floor that was also identified as influenza A.
