Increased cases of whooping cough recorded in NYC

NEW YORK — Health officials say they have detected an increase in whooping cough cases in New York City over the past few months.

The Department of Health says 126 confirmed or probable cases of whooping cough have been recorded since August 2011. There were 45 cases for the same period in 2010...
