Woman in 30 years died of swine flu

Norway: Oslo (NTB): A woman of 30 years died Sunday of swine flu. She was pregnant when she was ill.

The child was born three weeks ago.

- The child seems to get along fine and is not infected by mother's flu. The woman had no known underlying disease, said health authorities on this Pandemi.no.

This is the sixth death in Norway that can be linked to the new flu. Previously reported five deaths related to influenza A (H1N1), a man from Oppland, a man from Telemark, a teenager from Vestfold, a woman from Akershus and a Danish man who lived in Norway.

Barnet ble født for tre uker siden.

- Barnet ser ut til å klare seg fint og er ikke smittet av mors influensa. Kvinnen hadde ingen kjent underliggende sykdom, opplyser helsemyndighetene på nettstedet Pandemi.no.

Dette er det sjette dødsfallet i Norge som kan knyttes til den nye influensaen. Tidligere er det meldt fem dødsfall knyttet til influensa A (H1N1), en mann fra Oppland, en mann fra Telemark, en tenåring fra Vestfold, en kvinne fra Akershus og en dansk mann som oppholdt seg i Norge.
