New figures from the Directorate of Health show that on Thursday, 252 patients were admitted to Norwegian hospitals with covid-19. There are two more than yesterday.

Of these, 70 patients are in respirators. It's the same as the day before.

The number of respiratory patients has fallen sharply in recent days. On Saturday, 98 patients received such breathing aid.

At midnight, 6,160 cases of coronary infection were registered in Norway.

This is an increase of 150 cases last day. The last two days are the increase of 297 cases.

A total of 121,034 people have now been tested for covid-19. Around 3,000 people are now being tested every day, but the Directorate of Health hopes that the capacity will be 100,000 people a week at the end of April / May.

"The prospect of increasing it by several tens, and we hear that it may be possible up to 100,000, we think that is likely to be the case," says Lie, who is the Director of Health at the Directorate of Health.
