North Macedonia Covid-19 - 15,555 cases, 642 deaths?

Today, the Institute of Public Health registers 13 recovering patients.

In the past 24 hours, 411 tests were performed, and 36 new cases of covid-19 were confirmed in: Skopje-7, Kumanovo-4, Prilep-4, Tetovo-12, Veles-6, Gostivar-1, Pehchevo-1 and Berovo-1. So far, a total of 18821 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the country.

A 58-year-old patient from Veles died at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Conditions in Skopje, hospitalized at the clinic a week ago with a severe form of the disease, connected to mechanical ventilation on May 6.

The total number of cases diagnosed in our country since the beginning of the epidemic is 1622, the number of recovering patients is 1112, the number of deaths is 91, and currently the number of active cases in the country is 419.

In the past 24 hours, 309 tests were performed, and 20 new cases of covid-19 were confirmed in: Skopje-10, Prilep-5, Tetovo-4, Veles-1. A total of 19739 cowboy tests have been performed in the country so far.

3 people died. A 59-year-old patient from Prilep, hospitalized on May 7, died at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Conditions in Skopje. A 76-year-old patient from Veles died at the OB Veles, hospitalized on May 6, and a 68-year-old patient from Tetovo died on the way to the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Skopje, referred by the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo.

The total number of cases diagnosed in our country since the beginning of the epidemic is 1694, the number of recovering patients is 1229, the number of deaths is 95, and currently the number of active cases in the country is 370.
 
The new wave of coronavirus hits North Macedonia which recorded 120 cases of infection, the highest daily number since the outbreak of the pandemic, the Beta news agency reported on Thursday.

In the last 24 hours, 953 people were tested, the country’s Health Minister Venko Filipce wrote on his Facebook profile.

He wrote that two more people died and that the death toll stood at 147, while 1,621 recovered.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 2,611 people were tested positive, and 843 were still positive.

The North Macedonia authorities reported nine coronavirus-related deaths on Thursday, the highest number in a single day since the pandemic began.

Health Care Minister Venko Filipce said that 193 new cases had been registered bringing the total to 4,482.

He said in a Facebook post that there were 2,469 cases, 328 of them in hospital including seven on ventilators.

The minister said that 1,391 people had been tested in the previous 24 hours bringing the total to 46,445. The North Macedonian Public Health Institute said that a total of 1,803 patients have recovered from COVID-19.

The North Macedonia Health Care Ministry said on Wednesday that four more people had died of coronavirus-related ailments in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 306 since the pandemic began.

It added that 6,454 people had been diagnozed with COVID-19 in the country, 2,598 of who recovered. There are 3,550 active cases including 10 patients on ventilators.

The North Macedonia Health Ministry on Friday reported seven coronavirus-related deaths over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the pandemic began to 328.

A press release said that 1,454 people had been tested in that period, including 165 who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. It said that there are 3,583 active cases, including nine patients on ventilators.

A total of 64,837 people have been tested since the pandemic began, 6,787 of who tested positive.

The minister said in a Facebook post that 894 people had been tested over the previous 24 hours including 78 who tested positive and added that the number of diagnosed cases now stands at 7,124. The North Macedonia health care system has tested 68,059 people to date.
