Crew members on the MV Caledonian Isles, the ship which sails from Ardrossan to Brodick on Arran, were struck down with a bug, thought to be the Norovirus infection.
As a precaution, and to allow specialists to clean the ferry, operator Caledonian MacBrayne decided it would not make any trips for at least 48 hours
