No Records of any Cases of Coronavirus Among Pilgrims during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Saudi Minister of Health stresses

Riyadh, August 13th (BNA) ?Saudi Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabiah stressed that there were no records of the new Coronavirus MERS-CoV among visitors of Mekkah who performed Omrah during the holy month of Ramadan, in spite of their increasing number up to 5 million people.


In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Rabiah highlighted that the follow up field reports and the field epidemiological surveys carried out by the ministry revealed non-recording of any cases of infection by new Coronavirus MERS-CoV or any other epidemic diseases among the people performing Omrah and visitors of Makkah and Madinah during the holy month of Ramadan. He said that such results were recorded in spite their increasing number, which reached 5 million. He also said that all those people have left the Kingdom except for 200, 000 of them.
