Eastern Health has confirmed a case of tuberculosis in a St. John's high school student. VOCM's Janelle Kelly reports.

Public Health officials are in the process of notifying close contacts of the student at Holy Heart of Mary, and will be following up with the individuals to directly arrange for TB testing. Close contacts are those who have regular, prolonged interaction with the individual diagnosed with TB. Parents of students identified as contacts are also being notified by phone within 24 hours...

Newfoundland and Labrador?s largest health board says there is no evidence of active tuberculosis after the disease was detected at a high school in St. John?s two months ago.

Eastern Health says it is nearly finished its investigation at Holy Heart of Mary High School...
