Nigeria: Gastro-Entritis Kills Five in Katsina

Katsina ? Five persons including a female student of Government Girls Secondary School, Mani have been comfirmed dead following the outbreak of Gastroenteritis, otherwise known as Cholera, in Katsina state.
Confirming the incident, the Primary Health care Coordinator of Dutsimma local government, Alhaji Muntari Lema said, four people died in Dutsimma Local Government Area.
Lema explained that two others lost their lives in Ruwan-Ganji village, the other two in Taka-Tsaba village, adding that twelve cases of the disease were detected in Taka-Tsaba and 17 in Ruwan-Ganji village respectively. Alhaji Muntari Lema said, about 30 people were infected in Dutsimma, saying most of them were treated and discharged.
