Bwari residents decry outbreak of mumps disease affecting children

Residents of Kuchiko community in Bwari area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have raised the alarm over the outbreak of mumps affecting several children in the area.
Mumps is a contagious disease caused by a virus and causes painful swelling in the parotid salivary glands (parotitis).
It was also rumoured in the area that the mumps disease claimed the life of a five-year-old girl in the area recently...
