Nigeria recorded 19,213 confirmed cases of measles and 153 deaths between January and November 2025, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).
According to measles situation report released on Tuesday, the confirmed cases emerged from 26,866 suspected cases reported across 507 Local Government Areas in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The disease recorded a case fatality rate of 0.8 percent.
The data represent a significant increase compared to the same period in 2024, when 9,805 cases and 77 deaths were recorded from 19,815 suspected cases...
