Sullivan County issues rabies warning

MONTICELLO ? Sullivan County issued a rabies warning Friday after officials said four people, including a 5-year-old girl and an elderly woman, were bitten by rabid foxes within the last week.
Three foxes tested positive for rabies after being caught in Swan Lake, Wurtsboro and the area of Yankee Lake, said county Public Health Director Carol Ryan, sparking fears of more rabid animals.
"There's probably a lot more rabies than we know about," she said.
