Grohl was diagnosed with the flu on Friday, and an ambulance took her to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, where the decision was made to fly her to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, Majano said.

“But the weather was so bad Friday, they decided to drive her there in an ambulance,” Majano said. “They got as far as Good Samaritan Hospital (in Suffern).” Majano said her brain was swelling and she suffered multiple heart attacks, but she rallied until Sunday — when her condition was past the point of operating.
