Cow Falls Off Cliff and Hits Van

MANSON, Wash. (AP) ? Charles and Linda Everson were driving back to their hotel when their minivan was struck by a falling object ? a 600-pound cow. The Eversons were unhurt but the cow, which had fallen off a cliff, had to be euthanized.

The year-old cow fell about 200 feet from the cliff and landed on the hood of the couple's minivan, causing heavy damage.

A Chelan County fire chief, Arnold Baker, said the couple missed being killed by a matter of inches in the accident Sunday on a highway near Manson.

The Eversons, visiting the area from their home in Westland, Mich., to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, were checked at Lake Chelan Community Hospital as a precaution.

Everson, 49, said he didn't see the cow falling and didn't know what happened until afterward.

He said he kept repeating: "I don't believe this. I don't believe this."

I think, at last, we have a method of moving the virus that doesn't involve wild birds.

"wetDirt", you mean "like the cow was flying, flying the flu pig virus also, but from where it starts?

The one problem with the travelogs is that they don't show all the links in the chain that connect the swine in Canada to the swine in China. Of course the links exist, but nobody sampled and analyzed them, so we are only seeing two of the 20 or so actual links in the chain. Because we don't have all the intermediate vectors, we have to guess how the virus travelled between the two different groups of swine. I am just imagining how it would look if the pigs themselves flew between the continents, and the results if they didn't quite fly high enough or far enough.

And I am thinking of plate steel umbrellas.

I imagining that a "flying pigs" are an quite normal daily event.
They fly dead, and frozen, like meat for the whole world consumers.

Maybe what we need is an strict real control (international) of meat provenience, 3-D marks on detail, and quality (anti-smugling, anti-illness, and anti-meat-polution) control!

And the "paint-it-black"-"Humor" lie in the upper words, because we can't achieve this, no matter how big is the "world" scientific knowleadge.
