The Red Knot shorebird has joined the Bald Eagle and Red-Shouldered Hawk on the endangered wildlife list.

The thick-legged, short-billed bird migrates more than 10,000 miles a year to the Delaware Bay, but despite their remarkable travels, the migratory population has suffered a drastic decline.

Some reports estimate that over the past two decades, the bay population has shrunk from 100,000 to 15,000 ? nearly a 90% decrease...
