WESTFIELD - A 91-year-old town man with a confirmed case of the coronavirus has died at Overlook Medical Center, Westfield Mayor Shelley Brindle has announced.

In a Sunday night Facebook post Brindle said the man had underlying cardiac and respiratory conditions. The man's coronavirus case is not believed to be connected to any other confirmed case, she said.

Warren County Records First Coronavirus Death
New cases in the county total three, officials said.

WARREN COUNTY, NJ - Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said there were seven deaths related to the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, including the first death in Warren County.

The deaths involved five men and two women, ranging in age from 57 to 91.

South Jersey county announces 1st coronavirus death

A person who lived in Bridgeton is the first Cumberland County resident to die from the coronavirus, officials said.

The person died in an out-of-county hospital before results of what turned out to be a positive coronavirus test were ready, the county said in a statement.

As of Thursday morning Bridgewater has a total of three deaths and 22 positive new coronavirus cases, according to the township.
