Week 4: Regional
NOTE: deaths listed this week: 3; deaths listed last week: 3; total 3
NOTE: Week 5 lists total deaths at 3. I assume there was an error in this report and that NJ site meant to say 0 deaths, total 3.

235 new hospitalizations; total 3,204

~12% positive specimens for influenza (mostly 2009 A/H1N1)
Long-term care facilities reported 0.97% ILI
ED visits for ILI: 4.58%

School absenteeism: 5.19%

Re: New Jersey 2010-2011 Season: Weeks 40-4 (Three Deaths)

Re: New Jersey 2010-2011 Season: Weeks 40-4 (Three Deaths)

There must be some errors in the Week 4 report because CDC reported 2 pediatric deaths in NJ in the Week 4 MMWR and I don't believe the 3 deaths reported by NJ in Week 3 included any pediatric deaths. The only reference in the Week 4 report to pediatric cases is that there were 25 laboratory-confirmed influenza pediatric cases, but no deaths were reported.

So, there are at least 5 deaths to date.

Re: New Jersey 2010-2011 Season: Weeks 40-4 (Three New Deaths)

I haven't been listing totals when listing deaths...only total of deaths listed in report for the week. When looking at details of report, I'm listing total. Otherwise, totals could change and vary. I will list as New Deaths.
