The arrival of the rains in 2011 caused the country to revive the deadly H1N1 virus, especially in the city of Cali, capital of Valle del Cauca.
According to the newspaper El Pa?s, November and December last year saw an increase of people infected with the virus from 34 to 35 percent, leaving a toll of six people killed, two more than in 2010.
