Jonathan Woodbury

JONATHAN WOODBURY Jonathan Franklin Woodbury, a native of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 18, 2009, at the tender age of 30, from complications related to pneumonia and the flu. He was born June 26, 1979, and was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas. Jonathan was a graduate of Green Valley High School and received his bachelors' degree in psychology with a minor in counseling from UNLV 2005. He worked in the mental health field until he went back to school at Touro University Nevada and had just completed his first semester to become a physicians' assistant. As a young boy he was involved in Cub Scouts/Boys Scouts, played the saxophone and in many youth sports, until his teen years when he exclusively played ice hockey. Jonathan was also involved in Las Vegas Junior Chamber of Commerce at one time. At 6'6" he was a gentle giant with a kind and caring heart who expressed himself through writing. His smile could light up any room and he will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Howard Woodbury and Elma Woodbury. Jonathan is survived by his father, Frank Woodbury; mother, Dee Woodbury; brothers, Jeff McMillin and family and Mike McMillin and family; sisters, Lisa Baugh and family and Lindsey Woodbury-Enriquez; brother-in law, Felipe Enriquez; nieces, Eileen and Emma Enriquez; and girlfriend, Amanda Grundy. Memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
