A man in his 40s was the first Northern Nevada death attributed to the coronavirus, the Washoe County Health District reported on Sunday.

Washoe Health officials are investigating the man’s contacts and whether he had any underlying health conditions.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Twenty-three deaths have been reported in Clark County due to complications from the coronavirus disease COVID-19, according to new figures from state health officials.

The number of total cases in Clark County has reached 869, the Southern Nevada Health District reported in its daily update for Monday, March 30.

Statewide, the number of COVID-19 cases reported in Nevada reached 1,514 as of Friday morning, per the state's health agency. More than 14,500 people have been tested, with 13,018 coming back negative.

Four deaths have also been reported in Washoe County, bringing the total number of fatalities in Nevada to 43.
