Weekly COVID-19 update: 12 Aug - 18 Aug 2020

4,013 new COVID-19 infections were reported over the past week. That is 23 fewer confirmed cases reported than the week before that. Hospital admissions (current or previous) due to COVID-19 were reported during the past week for 50 patients. That is 12 more than last week.

16 deaths of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients were reported, 7 more than the week before.

Over 102,000 people have been tested in the GGD test lanes in the past week, 3,500 people more compared to the week before. At the national level, the percentage of positive tests remained about the same, at 3.5%. Just like last week, the reproduction number is above 1. See the news item Over 4,000 new infections, more hospitalisations.

Not all of the confirmed cases, hospital admissions or deaths that were reported during the past week also occurred within the last week. Some patients are reported later. For this reason, the figures are often supplemented with previous reports that had not yet been included. Since it is likely that not all people who have COVID-19 will get tested, the actual numbers in the Netherlands are probably higher than the numbers stated here.

Over 140,000 people have been tested in the GGD test lanes in the past week, 38,000 people more compared to the week before. At the national level, the percentage of positive tests decreased slightly to 2.5%. The reproduction number is close to 1.

Not all of the confirmed cases, hospital admissions or deaths that were reported during the past week also occurred within the last week. Some patients are reported later. For this reason, the figures are often supplemented with previous reports that had not yet been included. Since it is likely that not all people who have COVID-19 will get tested, the actual numbers in the Netherlands are probably higher than the numbers stated here.

it's not clear. Several countries had this, it does not go up in a straight line.
See Croatia, Slovenia, Czechia, Slovakia, Ukraine,

now Belgium ? , NL ? LUX ? HUN ? DE ?

how will you avoid all the traffic from France ? It didn't work with Italy in the first wave.
Now Germany has already 50% of cases from travelers from Balkan
Spain,France,Czech,Poland,Austria are coming, but the reactions are too slow.

Weekly COVID-19 update: 26 Aug - 1 Sept 2020

3,597 new COVID-19 infections were reported over the past week. That is 9 more positive tests reported than the week before that. During the past week, the municipal public health services (GGDs) reported hospital admissions (current or previous) due to COVID-19 for 57 patients. That is 27 fewer than last week. 24 deaths of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients were reported this week, 8 fewer than the week before. See the news item: Number of newly reported COVID-19 infections remains stable.

Over 163,000 people have been tested in the GGD test lanes in the past week, over 23,000 people more compared to the week before. At the national level, the percentage of positive tests decreased this week, dropping from 2.5% in the previous week to 2.2% this week. The reproduction number is approximately 1.

Not all of the confirmed cases, hospital admissions or deaths that were reported during the past week also occurred within the last week. Some patients are reported later. For this reason, the figures are often supplemented with previous reports that had not yet been included. Since there is a significant chance that not all people who have COVID-19 will get tested, the actual numbers in the Netherlands are probably higher than the numbers stated here.

Weekly COVID-19 update: 2 - 8 Sept 2020

5,427 new COVID-19 infections were reported over the past week. That is 1,830 more positive tests reported than the week before that. During the past week, the Municipal Public Health Services (GGDs) reported hospital admissions (current or previous) due to COVID-19 for 43 patients. That is 14 fewer than last week. 17 deaths of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients were reported this week, 7 fewer than the week before. See the news item: Increase in number of newly reported COVID-19 infections.

Over 180,182 people have been tested in the GGD test lanes in the past week, compared to 163,572 people in the week before. At the national level, the percentage of positive tests increased this week, rising from 2.2% in the previous week to 2.8% this week. The reproduction number has risen to 1.17. This means that 100 people who are infected with the novel coronavirus will collectively infect another 117 people.
