PHALEBAS: A village in Parbat district has been gripped by the viral fever with the change in weather conditions.

The entire Barrachaur Village Development Committee has been affected by an epidemic outbreak of viral fever for the past few days.

The disease that was detected in some of the students at the Janasewa Primary Secondary School based in Ward No.-1, Patal, and later spread in the entire village.

As many as 172 people have fallen sick due to the viral epidemic. The school has been closed for five days after the number of students and teachers suffering from the fever soared, said school Principal Eknarayan Parajuli.

Symptoms like dizziness, headache, vomiting and fever have been seen on the victims. Students have complained of such symptoms since last Tuesday, he said.
