Nationwide Recall: Undeclared Peanuts in ?Chia Recharged Stix Mix? 5 Ounce

January 28, 2013 - Tropical Nut and Fruit Co, Orlando Florida is voluntarily recalling five lots of snack mix "Chia ReCharged Stix Mix? 5 ounce pouches because they may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The recalled "Chia ReCharged Stix Mix? 5 ounce pouches were distributed between June 6 th, 2012 to October 23 rd, 2012 to wholesalers and in retail stores nationwide.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

Item Name: ?Chia ReCharged Stix Mix? 5 ounce stand up resealable plastic pouches.

UPC Code: 0 94184 01014 6

Affected lot numbers are stamped on master case. 12 pouches make up a case and the lot numbers are as follows:

Affected packages can be identified by the best before date stamped on the back of the pouches above the bar code. These best before date are from 01/20/13 to 04/17/13.
