Nassau Announces Fourth Swine Flu Death

The swine flu has claimed the life of a fourth victim in Nassau, health officials announced Tuesday. medical-symbol_medium1-300x225

The victim was an adult over the age of 65 who had serious multiple underlying medical conditions, according to the Nassau County Department of Health. The victim?s name was not released.

The latest flu-related fatality comes shortly after health officials received and began to distribute 1,000 doses of Novel H1N1 Intranasal Vaccine from the New York State Department of Health.

Nassau County Department of Health has established an H1N1 Call Center for residents seeking additional H1N1 information. Residents may call Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. ? 4 p.m. at 1-888-684-4271.
