ONE hundred and fifteen cases of anthrax in humans have been reported in the northern regions of the country, after they allegedly came into contact with, or consumed, meat from suspected anthrax-infected carcasses.
Three people have been admitted to hospital due to the suspected anthrax outbreak, but no deaths have been reported.
As a result of fears of the outbreak, restrictions on animal movement from certain areas of the Kunene and Zambezi regions were imposed, pending confirmation of the suspected outbreak...
