Mysterious disease kills cattle

Kendrapara: At least 32 buffaloes died due to suspected foot and mouth disease last week in a coastal village in Kendrapara district. Veterinary experts, who rushed to the village, said the sick cattle are suffering from suspected foot-and-mouth disease.

The Bajrabahakuda village is home to nearly 200 cattle farmers. Apart from cattle rearing , fishing and agriculture are other sources of livelihood for the villagers.
