Multiple flu cases prompts alert at UArizona campus

TUCSON (KVOA) - A flu alert was issued for the University of Arizona campus Monday after multiple cases were recently reported in the area.

According to UArizona Campus Health officials, people who experiencing flu-like symptoms are advised to contact 520-621-9202.

"We've had 22 flu positives at Camus Health since Nov. 1, but saw an uptick with 16 of those 22 showing up last week,” Dr. David Salafsky, interim co-executive director and director of health promotion and preventive services at Campus Health. “We are monitoring the situation and have gotten the word out to campus partners, particularly for students living in high-density housing, such as the dorms and Greek houses.”...
