BLAINE COUNTY, Mont.- According to the Blaine County Health Department, Fort Belknap Tribal Health/ Public Health Nursing (FBTH/PHN) and Fort Belknap IHS (FB IHS), a case of the measles has been confirmed in Blaine County.

The individual was exposed while traveling out of state and is currently isolating at their home. This is the first case of measles in Montana to be reported in 2026.

Additionally, this reported case of measles will not be reported on the DPHHS measles website due to the fact that the individual is not a resident of Montana...​

HELENA, Mont. - Five new measles cases were confirmed in Lewis and Clark County, according to Lewis and Clark Public Health (LCPH). All five cases were limited to the St. Peter's Emergency Department from 11:20 p.m. on March 20 and 3:00 a.m. on March 30.

Anyone who believes they were exposed should receive the MMR vaccine as soon as possible, LCPH said, and anyone at a higher risk for severe measles such as infants or immunocompromised and pregnant individuals should contact their medical provider.​..

Health officials monitoring measles exposure in Flathead County

KALISPELL, Mont. — The Flathead County Health Department said a person with measles visited several public places in Flathead County while they were infectious between Sept. 8-11.

Health officials have identified three locations that a person with measles visited in Flathead County, which includes Glacier Highland Gift Store and Restaurant in West Glacier between Sept. 8 and 11.

Locations also include Logan Health Primary Care in Columbia Falls on Sept. 8 and Amtrak Train number 8 traveling east from West Glacier on Sept. 11...

The Flathead County health department tells MTN News that no additional exposure sites have been identified for this case at this time.

The Fergus County Health Department said Friday that it has confirmed a case of measles in the area and identified two locations as possible exposure sites.

According to the health department, the two exposure sites are Amtrak Train No. 7 from Chicago, which arrived at the Malta Amtrak Train Station on Sept. 24 around 2:20 p.m., and Evergreen Wood Products in Moore on Sept. 25.

The county exposure dates are from Sept. 24 to Sept. 30...
