MSNBC (Nancy Synderman) on H1N1

HenryN

Retired
MSNBC (Dr Nancy Scheniderman) just did an interview with HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius and CDC director Thomas Frieden on to discuss the Washington summit on H1N1.

She seemed particulaly concerned because her daughter is in ARGENTINA (and is seeing the panic first hand).

Sounds like there will be daily H1N1 coverage at noon EST on MSNBC.

Dr. Niman, it is MSNBC, not CNBC.

Your welcome, Dr. Niman. :)

This link opens the Dr. Nancy site at MSNBC. It plays a 30-second commercial first ... irritating, I know. When this is done, there are a set of videoclips on the left-hand side. One of them is with Dr. Sibelius.

Thanks! I got it just after I posted my remark.

Judging by the information in various documents we will likely see increase reporting...hopefully the public will take it serious.

Re: MSNBC (Nancy Schneiderman) on H1N1

There was a 10 or 20 second snippet on the A H1N1 sw flu on some TV station, either CBC, NBC or ABC today . I don't watch a whole of tv but i do catch a brief snippet of news at dinnertime .
Also Obama and US National dept of health(or something like it) had their sw flu 'summit' today to i guess brief the nation on the seriousness of the upcoming flu this fall/ winter.
This may awaken more folks nationwide and raise some more concern but for now i don't see any significant coverage of this locally. LA Times runs a story about once a week, basically a SW Flu update. Ditto for the OC Register. I do put stuff on the OC response feedback forums and probably may scare a few folks out of their pajamas as i have read thru most of 'the great influenza'' by J Barry and am aware of how deadly this flu can get.
Have 60-70% of my stockpile already and am adding more every few days.
I am a firm believer in Vit D-3 for combatting this thing and will take advantage of the abundant SCal sunshine while it lasts.

This was a very interesting interview.

Re: MSNBC (Nancy Schneiderman) on H1N1

Not to nitpick but just for the sake of accuracy (and continued credibility of this site) her name is spelled Snyderman. She used to be on our local TV in the SF Bay Area quite a bit.

No offense intended to anyone.

Lots of CNBC on pandemic and CDC vaccine meeting this afternoon.

Re: MSNBC (Nancy Snyderman) on H1N1

Fauci trying to explain risk / benefit ratio of vaccine and focused on 1976 instead of noting that pandmeic vaccince will largely be the same as seasonal vaccine if no adjuvent used.

Re: MSNBC (Nancy Snyderman) on H1N1

Nancy Snyderman was interviewed on MSNBC this morning, and mentioned the increased risk to pregnant women--6% of overall deaths in the US. If the MSM continues to talk about this, we may finally see some public awareness.
