Port au Prince, Haiti .- A Report released by the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Haiti, said that four thousand five hundred fifty-two the death toll rose by the cholera epidemic that plagues the country.
This impoverished nation has become the ideal scenario for cholera, given the precarious sanitary conditions exist, exacerbated after the earthquake that devastated parts of the capital and other nearby cities.
Moreover, a report by a team from the University of New York, in collaboration with Haitian researchers, notes that international agencies failed in their attempt to fight cholera in the Caribbean nation.
The document states that some international organizations are more interested in attracting funds to continue their activities, than in solving problems such as cholera, hunger, and helplessness of the Haitian people.
