More deaths, California Swine flu 'widespread'
SACRAMENTO ? When it comes to the Swine flu pandemic in California, we are one of 25 states reporting widespread illness.
State Health Director Mark Horton is urging everyone to be on guard.
?More than half of the state?s population centers are reporting new outbreaks in schools and a variety of other settings. We are keeping close watch on that.?
Dr. Horton reported 31 deaths the past week compared to twelve the prior week. Hospitalizations and the number of people treated for flu-like illnesses dropped last week. (INT)
