They've captured the sow and her cub and relocated them. I thought she might have an illness causing the unusual aggression, but wildlife experts must not think so. One thing of note is that she is the youngest grizzly to ever have given birth. She's 4 and grizzlies normally have their first cub at age 5-6. So that does make me wonder if she might have a hormonal imbalance or some kind of stress-related reaction.
Also this sow was captured at age 2 as part of a research project. I wonder if there could be neurological effects from a tranquilizer used, or oxygen deprivation from the ordeal.
