Monroe County Health Director, Dr. Andrew Doniger has confirmed that an adult male in Monroe County has died from the Swine Flu. The man died last week. This is Monroe Counties first confirmed Swine Flu death.

A male adult resident of Monroe County died about a week ago of H1N1, county health department director Dr. Andrew Doniger announced this evening.
Doniger said the results came back today, but with several flu clinics being conducted today, health officials were focused on those and did not have a chance to review the information.
He did not have any information on the man?s age or whether there was an underlying medical condition and did not expect to have that information tonight.
He also cited privacy concerns about not revealing information that would allow neighbors or friends to identify the person.
