Nearly four hundred children have been infected by mumps

Health officials warn that there are an increasing number of young children with the case of mumps disease. More than half of the patients at the National Centre for Contagious Diseases have been infected by mumps. By last week there were 575 people affected by ten different types of infectious diseases. Of those infected who sought medical help, 33 were diagnosed with icteritious, 23 with dysentery, 49 with smallpox and 392 children with mumps. 590 patients are being hospitalized at the National Centre for Contagious Diseases and 261 patients have been diagnosed with mumps.
