The city of Mogi Mirim confirmed on Thursday (1) the first four cases of H1N1 flu in the year. According to a spokesperson for the municipality, the cases were identified in adolescents between 10 and 14 years. Neither was hospitalized and all are well.
Of these four cases, three were identified in a state school that was closed for four days last week, but it works normally.
The city Health Department will intensify its actions in the district where it was identified the outbreak. From Monday (5) teams will hold office guidelines for prevention and control in the region. In 2009, Mogi Mirim recorded 48 cases of the disease with two deaths.
