The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has confirmed a measles case in a child visiting Taney County who had recently traveled internationally. The child’s vaccination status has not been verified. According to health officials, there is no indication of widespread exposure, as the case was identified shortly after the child arrived in Taney County. Known contacts have been identified and notified.

This is the first confirmed case of measles in Missouri in 2025. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is assisting the Taney County Health Department in investigating the case and advising individuals who may have been exposed.​..

Possible measles exposure detected in St. Louis

An out-of-state resident visiting St. Louis has a confirmed case of measles, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services on Sunday.

The visitor reportedly went to the St. Louis Aquarium from 1 to 6 p.m. April 30. They also visited a St. Louis restaurant sometime on the same day, according to the release.​..

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has confirmed a case of measles in an adult.

According to the department, the adult is a resident of New Madrid County and there is no indication of widespread public exposure. The department said that all known contacts have been identified and reached.​..

New confirmed measles case in Cedar County brings reported total to five

CEDAR COUNTY, Mo. — The Cedar County Health Department (CCHD) has announced a second lab-confirmed case of measles, which is likely connected to the first reported case on June 23.

According to a CCHD news release, health investigations are ongoing with support from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

The new case was laboratory-confirmed on Tuesday, July 1.

Additionally, three family members of Cedar County’s first case that was announced on June 23 were determined to have had measles based on their symptoms and exposure timeline.​..
