"All Eighteen, or 100%, were 2009 H1N1 Influenza. For the week ending November 7, 2009 (week 44), Missouri reported widespread influenza activity."

"The number of reported influenza cases for week 44 of the 2009-2010 season are significantly higher than the previous
4 influenza seasons. However, a downward trend has been observed for two consecutive weeks.
Nine school closings have been reported for week 44 of the
current season; no school closures were reported for the same period last season.
The proportion of ILI patients seen in Boone, Callaway, Cole, Howell, Pettis, Phelps, and Saline counties is
significantly higher than the state proportion of 8.35%. The cause is unknown at this time."
