Mississauga?s Credit Valley Hospital is in its second C. difficile outbreak since the end of June. The hospital said this is the first time it has had two so close together.
The current outbreak in a surgical unit is unrelated to the previous one, which was hospital-wide and ran from June 28 to July 14, spokesperson Liz Leake said in an email.
The outbreak, posted on the hospital?s website, began July 26. Leake said there were six cases in July and one in August. No deaths have been linked to the superbug...
