Minnesota testing patients who fit CDC flu criteria - 2 tested

Re: H7N9 in Minnesota???

Re: H7N9 in Minnesota???

The US CDC released interim case definition for H7N9 on April 5 and asked to all health institutions to increase surveillance for unexplained pneumonia cases with travel history to affected area or contact with confirmed or suspected cases with travel history.

For this reason, it is expected that some pneumonia cases matching current case definition for patients under investigation will emerge in the US.

So far, however, there are not confirmed H7N9 human cases in the US.
