The Ministry of Health reported two new deaths HIV eh "HP 1 The 1" world-renowned swine flu deaths to rise to 240 cases since the disease appeared in Egypt until now.

January 22, 2010, 13:00Cairo, Jan. 22 (Prensa Latina) Egyptian health authorities today reported two deaths due to influenza A (H1N1) and one for avian influenza (H5N1), which amounted to 240 and 28 respectively, deaths from these diseases.

A Health Ministry report said two people in the provinces of Minya and Ismailia died Thursday after not responding to treatment at state hospitals by the virus also known as swine flu.

With those 240 cases add up those killed in this Arab nation since his June 2009 detected the first patient of this evil, which saw an upturn accelerated lethal in the last three months.

Just three days ago, the number of deaths was 228, while a week earlier this indicator stood at 214, provided with a high incidence in the two aforementioned boundaries.

According to authorities, until this month had been infected with influenza A (H1N1) a total of 14 thousand 87 Egyptians, including five thousand 200 students of primary and secondary schools and 803 college campuses.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health confirmed that the same Thursday, a woman of 20 died as a result of avian influenza, which occurred the first death in 2010 by the injury.

Bird flu affects Egypt for years, making it one of the countries hardest hit by the virus, according to the World Health Organization.

On Wednesday, the Egyptian government said 93 people were infected with the virus after symptoms detected in a child of three years.
